Hello Families, Here is a peek at our learning in Grade 1 this week: Literacy: Grade 1 students are continuing their journey to become stronger readers and writers. This week, each class began their literacy stations, or Daily 5. This work can include building words and sentences various ways , reading to self , Raz Kids and guided reading with a teacher. Math: Grade 1’s are continuing to add to their understanding of numbers 1-20. We have been practicing saying the number s to 20 in sequence, building them using rods and cubes and drawing what we have built. Science: We have discussed and observed the signs of fall.
