Hi Families! Here is a peek at our learning this week: Literacy : Students are continuing to learn and practice different reading and w riting strategies to develop their proficiency as readers and writers. Math : We are continuing to work hard on our addi tion skills and strategies. We have also begun counting in different ways. We learned that counting by 1’s isn’t very efficient, or very fast. Skip counting by 5’s is much faster! We noticed that when we skip count by 5’s, we found a pattern! A ll the numbers we say have either a 0 or a 5 in the ones place. Help me practice skip counting by 5’s at home. Social Studies : Grade 1’s are community pla n n ers!
