Take a look at what we have been working on: Literacy : Children have been continuing to practice reading and comprehension. We have been working hard on using a wider vocabulary when writing, as well as editing for capitals and periods. Our Science Senses unit has helped us to generate descriptive wo rds that describe flavour , texture, or sound. Math : Children have continued to look at shapes and their attributes ( eg. A square has 4 sides and 4 corners, a triangle has 3 sides and 3 corners). They are start ing to group and sort shapes with common attributes. Social Studies : Children presented their communities to their classmates. Each had to explain their choices to include places to live, work, and play.
