Hello Families!

We have had a very busy and short week! Here is some of the learning we did:

In literacy, we continue to build our stamina for reading and writing sentences that begin with a capital letter and end with a period.

In math, we have worked on our basic addition facts and building and representing teen numbers in different waysWe have spent some time building teen numbers using rods and cubes. We can see that teen numbers are composed using both a ten and one (eg 15 is 10 and 5 or 10 and 5 more!)

In social studies, we have continued to add to our understanding of community by creating booklets about the communities we belong to. We also began talking about our rights and responsibilities. Ask me what a responsibility is.

We also enjoyed the snow! Colder temperatures are here so please be sure to dress for the weather.

Reminders:

  • Please continue to send your child to school wearing a clean mask. We also recommend packing an extra mask as accidents can happen.
